Festive Book Recommendations Full of Warmth This December

December is here — bringing with it the end of the year and a festive energy that makes us want to revel in every moment of winter’s charm!

It’s a month of joyful celebrations, reflective moments, and the warmth of time reading by the fireside.

To help you embrace the spirit of December, I’ve curated a selection of heartwarming books to read during the twelfth and final month of the year.

“A delightful read that’s guaranteed to add sparkle and joy to your holiday season!” —Marissa Stapley, bestselling co-author of Three Holidays and a Wedding

A charming and rollicking holiday rom-com about a big-city film director who must convince the dreamy, yet grumpy, mayor of a small town to give her the permit to shoot her Christmas movie in his idyllic hometown. Perfect for fans of Hallmark holiday movies, and readers of Maggie Knox’s All I Want for Christmas and The Hating Game by Sally Thorne.

Will magic happen under the mistletoe?

All year long, Zoey Andrews lives and breathes Christmas–not just because she loves everything about the festive season, but because, as the director of countless Christmas movies, she’s perpetually (and happily) surrounded by 24/7 holiday cheer. And this year Christmas has come early: After years of making other people’s movies, Zoey finally has the chance to make her own. There’s just one thing standing in her way of that: Benoît Deschamps, the sexy, bearded, grouchy and utterly frustrating, plaid shacket-wearing tree-farm-owner-slash-mayor who refuses to grant Zoey the permit to film in Chelsea, the cozy and snowy Quebec hamlet at the center of her screenplay.

With just four days left before Christmas, Zoey must change Ben’s mind, but not before an unscripted ice storm leaves them stranded in the middle of nowhere, with nothing–no food, no phone, no electricity–except . . . each other.

Will Ben’s chilly resolve shatter Zoey’s Christmas movie wish? Or will Zoey be able to melt through his stubbornness–and maybe even his heart?

A one-of-a-kind Christmas market offers holiday magic in the new romance from the author of The Kindred Spirits Supper Club.

With a name like Astra Noel Snow, holiday spirit isn’t just a seasonal specialty–it’s a way of life. But after a stinging divorce, Astra’s yearly trip to the Milwaukee Christmas market takes on a whole new meaning. She’s ready to eat, drink, and be merry, especially with the handsome stranger who saves the best kringle for her at his family bakery.

For Jack Clausen, the Julemarked with its snowy lights and charming shops stays the same, while the world outside the joyful street changes, magically leaping from one December to the next every four weeks. He’s never minded living this charmed existence until Astra shows him the life he’s been missing outside of the festive red brick alley.

After a swoon-worthy series of dates, some Yuletide magic, and the unexpected glow of new love, Astra and Jack must decide whether this relationship can weather all seasons, or if what they’re feeling is as ephemeral as marshmallows in a mug of hot cocoa.

Mallory Brooke was supposed to get married on the largest cruise ship in the world . . . that is, until her future husband was kicked off the boat, leaving Mallory stranded seven nights at sea with both families. Hilarity ensues along with plenty of drama in this vulnerable true story that has been seven years in the making.

REVIEW – by SIMRAN

“Divorced is Mallory Brooke’s memoir that speaks about her dream wedding turned disastrous by an unruly behaviour which led to shattered dreams and terrible consequences.

Mallory Brooke was getting married on one of the world’s largest cruise ship. This dreamy luxurious ship and enchanting wedding plans were Mallory dream come true. Marrying the love of her life despite the previous redflags was something that she hope will put everything in order.

However the night before the wedding, a drunken disorderly conduct makes the cruise authorities to kick him off the cruise ship. Deeply hurt and agitated, Mallory’s dream comes to halt.

Throughout the book, Mallory has shares her life events that stood the test of challenges, patience and demands. Her journey towards self-realization and self-love began when she finally saw things as they were presented. Her free spirited existence is beautifully blessed by the two kids who make her life more beautiful than ever. It’s story that going to make ponder over things that we hardly give any attention to. Sharing the golden snippets of wise words, she encourages her readers to realize the importance of own self.

If you are looking for an engaging as well as self- empowering book then this is the book for you. Emotionally accurate, I couldn’t put it down.”
