– Divorced : the beginning of the end, Mallory Brooke

I loved reading this beautiful, powerful and impactful memoir. The book is author’s real life story and it had been seven years in the making. The book shows us that life can be beautiful even if it doesn’t follow what society deems “the correct path” of getting married, having kids and living happily ever after. The book shows the author’s life journey from her falling in love, getting pregnant and deciding to get married to when things start going south as life is seldom a fairy tale, and it also shows us that life can still be your own version of fairytale even when you have to make some hard decisions and follow a new trail.

The writing style of the author is simple and lucid. It is very easy to read and get into, there is honesty in the way the story has been told. The cover art is beautiful and it perfectly represents the author’s personality which we also see shining through the pages of this book. In my opinion, the author is very courageous to be able to write this story while going through a tough phase in her life. There is also a touch of humor making this book not so intense. I loved reading it. It is an engaging and enjoyable memoir. I could feel the emotions and the story was interesting enough for me to keep turning pages. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

“If you only read the books that everyone else is reading,

You can only think what everyone else is thinking.”
